Bringing Home the Spoils

My hubby was nice enough to go with and drop me off at a bead store in Deland, Florida called Kathryn's Beads and Baubles. Really great bead shop, had a really good variety and the atmosphere was so nice and peaceful, even smelled good - perfect for bead shopping. I picked up a few goodies and can't wait to get started on some new projects.

Puffy Heart Necklace for Linda

This is the Puffy Heart Necklace custom made order for Linda. The original necklace previously had two tiers and crocheted wire on the ends near the clasp. Linda loved the puffy glass heart and beads but wanted one with only one tier, the necklace longer 25", and an extender chain and lobster clasp added, so I made this one as a special order. I also made a pair of earrings to complete the set. Thanks for the order Linda! I hope you love it!

Turquoise Swirl Crystal Kumihimo Bracelet

This is the new turquoise Kumihimo Bracelet I was working on. I used Chinese crystals to get a dark and light swirl/twirl pattern, and it came out beautiful. The crystals in these Kumihimo bracelets give off a lot of shine and bling! I also used a magnetic clasp with swarovski crystal accents because they can make bracelets so much easier to put on. Turquoise is all over the place for Spring and Summer fashions and will continue to be in the years to come. And of course it definitely goes great with your current Jaguar accessories. Enjoy! More pics in the $20 and Up Bin.

My first Kumihimo - yay!

Yay me! I finished my first Kumihimo bracelet order today. She wanted royal blue and black colors and a little bling. I used royal blue and black glass rondelles that are so sparkly with a cute toggle clasp. I also had to make it about one and a half inches bigger than what I would wear (I have kid-sized wrists), so it looks a little big on me here. Took a few days but I finished it all on my own after the class Judy and I took. Just love it!

Now I'm onto my next Kumihimo, I'm thinking about doing turquoise next...  stay tuned or Follow Me on my blogspot (Follow Me button on left side of page) to see it, or have it sent to your email (Subscribe by Email link is underneath comment box below).

Peacock Fancy Necklace

This necklace was inspired by a very expensively priced and looking all pearl peacock necklace on TV. I thought it was gorgeous but quite expensive. Here is my take on that necklace, same bright, fun, peacock themed colors, replaced with foiled beads and glass. All at a much more affordable price. Plus, sometimes pearls can be a little 'hard' to wear without an event or reason. While the necklace has an elegant and unique look to it, it still 'pops' because of the peacock colors, the 'glowy' foils, and bicone beads. So this sparkly necklace can be worn any time, day or night, casual affair or sophisticated event. I really enjoyed hand-picking the colors and shapes on this one. Hope you like it! It can be found in the $20 bin.

Marigolds in Midnight

My newest creation just in time for spring. Marvelous marigold pearls resting above midnight 'leaves' with front side clasp.
Would look great with a nice shirt and a pair of your good jeans, even at the office with a favorite blouse. This look will keep your style fresh with a bit of luxury, and uniqueness. You can find it in the $20 bin.
